RASTA observed the World Environment Day with a unique programme of tree planting in school campus at Kambalakkad, Wayanad. Nearly 800 children participated in the event. Planting of tree seedlings was inaugurated by the district Panchayath president. Mrs. Omana. T.K, Director of RASTA gave the World Environment day message to students and inaugurated the distribution of “Tree Guard” for the protection of seedlings.

20 Tree guards were distributed to students. Students of the class 5th to 7th were given tree seedlings by the forest department. Protection of Environment is one of the primary concern of the organisation. RASTA has been conducting various programmes focusing on nature conservation since 1987.
